Volunteer with Schools Consent Project
Are you interested in working to prevent sexual violence, and making an instant impact in young people's lives?
The Schools Consent Project volunteer team consists of over 100 lawyers from some of the top firms and organizations in NYC, including Gibson Dunn, Morrison Foerster, Covington, Amazon and many more.
We are actively recruiting more lawyers to deliver workshops to young people in New York City. Our training process is simple: a 1.5-hour training evening hosted at your firm, followed by a 25-minute assessment interview. Once you're confirmed, you're eligible to present our workshops in schools. Volunteers can present workshops individually or in pairs, including with client lawyers. Feedback from our volunteers is that this often brings about a more lasting and meaningful connection than more conventional business development. Our lawyers keep coming back to do more workshops because of the immediate impact they can have in a classroom.
Firms and organizations love working with the Schools Consent Project because we offer their attorneys a chance to practice how to have challenging conversations, how to think on their feet, and most importantly, how to have a positive impact on their communities.
